Baby Coming Soon?

Who knows when and why babies choose to come when they do, but ours is in the decision process now. Things are progressing. Baby could be here soon. We are at home just riding the waves of pre-labor. Who knows, our next post could be of the baby or of an anxiously awaiting lady in labor! Lots of love- Annette

Free to Climb

I love rock climbing. I love to climb any rock any time any where. Rock climbing is more than a sport to me. Climbing tunes me into my truest self. When I am climbing I am honest, clear-minded, and free of any heaviness that weighs me down in my daily life.

The photo is me climbing Eat (5.10 Trad) at Enchanted Rock, which is where I learned to trad climb. I haven't climbed since I was 5 months and 3 weeks pregnant. I love being pregnant, but I do miss climbing.

Ponch and Me

Yesterday, Saturday May 20, I went to the Austin DPS headquarters to have my baby seat installed in the car. Not only was this a responsible parenting duty, but also an opportunity to meet Ponch! That's right Eric Estrada was there to promote child safety. Here is a picture of Ponch and me.

First Time to Blog

Well, as if I haven't had enough new experiences lately, here I go with this blog thing. At the urging of my dear friend Britten, I'm learning to blog today. I need blogging skills to keep everyone posted on Junior's arrival. Today is the perfect day for taking on the task because I plan to do nothing else. In fact, as I sit here on Sunday, May 21st at 11:20, I still am clad in p.j.'s with unbrushed hair and teeth. I figure this could be my last lazy Sunday for about 18 years or so...the baby officially is due next Saturday, which really means he could arrive any time from today until weeks from now. Let's hope it's not weeks! He and I are about to outgrow one another:-)
